Based in Britain, AFT manufactures a range of components for the glass industry and with it's contracts division is also involved in glass-furnace building and repair worldwide.
Within the company, the expertise in the field of furnace design and construction is considerable.
Besides involvement in the more common furnace configurations (container, tableware etc.) AFT has, over the years, built furnaces for the production of fibre, borate phials, tube etc. and small experimental furnaces have become something of a speciality.
