Daedalian Glass Studios

Daedalian is one of the most innovative glass design companies in Britain, with high quality work featured across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

We specialize in the design, manufacture and installation of decorative, architectural and artistic glass. Our process skills are extensive, ranging from the cutting edge, like EVA laminating, glass fusing and kiln forming, to the more traditional skills of sandblast etching, stained glass and glass painting.
Our team of British artisans, technicians and designers work together to create products and bespoke projects which come alive, using all of our skills to fashion things of subtlety, strength, form and beauty.
Since our founding in 1986, our philosophy has always been to maintain the highest standards in glass design, manufacture and customer service and this still holds true today. As trends in architecture, design and glass manufacture have changed, Daedalian has changed as well. Through an abiding love for glass as a material for inspirational art and design, we have taken each new manufacturing technique and design style in our stride, exploring and expanding the limits of what is possible.
So whether you buy one of our standard products, or employ our bespoke design service, you can be assured that we will constantly strive to give you the best there is to offer in glass design and customer service.

Many glass making terms have entered the language: 'Coddswallop': Hiram Codd invented the marble stoppered 'pop' bottle in the 1870s, and millions of the bottles were made, particularly in South Yorkshire. 'Wallop' was the name given to the cheap beer of the day, and beer drinkers dubbed the contents of the codd bottle 'a load of coddswallop'.
