Hydration improving tactics – at both ends!

As part of work to protect the all-round wellbeing of all its employees, a recent Saint-Gobain campaign has tackled the challenge of staying properly hydrated at work from both ends – literally. This work has won them a medal of excellence as part of the British Glass Health and Safety Forward scheme.

Encirc on track for sustainable success with new rail terminal

British Glass members, Encirc has received its first shipment of recycled cullet to its new purpose-built railhead in Elton, Cheshire. The delivery marks the opening of the new rail terminal, which is expected to reduce Encirc’s carbon emissions by more than 2,400 tonnes every year.

Ardagh Group wins company of the year at UK packaging awards

This year’s packaging awards were really great for the glass industry. British Glass members Ardagh Group got awarded the prestigious title of ‘Packaging Company of the Year’ at the UK Packaging Awards, held in London on 22 November.
