Pilkington and Jeld-Wen mark quarter of a million milestone

[L to R] John Spiby, National Sales Manager for Pilkington, and Tony Pell, Senior Product Manager for frames at JELD-WEN.BG member Pilkington United Kingdom Limited, part of the NSG group, has manufactured more than a quarter of a million insulating glass units (IGUs) for JELD-WEN, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of timber windows, doors and stairs, since it first started working with the company.

The collaboration has seen JELD-WEN’s range of UK manufactured, environmentally-friendly timber windows, patios and exterior doorsets, fitted with Pilkington energiKare™ glass since the two companies began working together.

Designed to meet the growing demand for energy-efficient windows, Pilkington energiKare™ products help to improve the thermal efficiency of homes. Through the use of advanced coatings, combined with various glass combinations to suit the customers’ needs, Pilkington energiKare™ IGUs minimise heat loss and allow more of the sun’s energy to enter the property. It is this free energy from the sun that helps homeowners to save money on fuel bills.

John Spiby (pictured above, left), national sales manager – domestic products at Pilkington, said: “Many of today’s homeowners are looking for ways to improve the energy-efficiency of their properties, and the use of high-performance glass products in windows and doors is a common step in achieving this.

“Through investment in research and development we’ve been able to continue to bring high performing products to market, and this milestone is testament not only to the quality of the Pilkington energiKare™ range, but to the strong relationship we have built with the team at JELD-WEN.”

Tony Pell (pictured above, right), senior product manager for frames at JELD-WEN, said: “Pilkington is a brand renowned for the quality of its products and we have built a strong relationship with the company, enabling us to continue providing customers with the best when it comes to both products and service.

“Supplier relationships play an integral role in our overall customer offering and by enlisting recognised, quality brands as our sole suppliers and providing products from the Pilkington range as standard, we are adding huge value to our window and door ranges.”
